THEY WON'T LET US DRIVE

We were taugh how to drive by our father,
To him it wasn't much bother,
He was looking out for our future,
Our trust he did nurture.

Many years have passed since that time,
And all these years we have never been charged with a crime,
But still our husbands just won't let us drive,
They say it is because they want to remain alive.

Three of us women got together one night,
We compare notes to see just who was right,
Course you know the men were there too,
There was three of them and not just two.

As we compared notes two of us women said the brake on our side didn't work,
One husband had to admit that when his wife drove his didn't work,
The other two just laughed and said it was because we were too slow,
We were suppose to put the pedal to the medal and just go.

There's no sight seeing when we are taking trips,
And we are thankful for the seatbelt that is around our hips,
For bumpers we sometimes see,
We are flying faster than a bee.

We never say, "Honey Take Me For A Spin,"
Cause when it comes to driving we just can't win,
Don't think you are all alone in the battle to drive,
Let's just be content with our blinders and let them drive.
