As the afternoon turned into evening there came a northernly wind and the storm clouds started rolling in. There were warnings of a possibility of a severe storm in the area. This could mean heavy down pour of rain, thunder, lightening and heavy winds. The weathermen on the local TV stations were also watching for the chance of a possible tornado. They would show pictures of the area that showed possible rotation in the storm and they would be able to track it to see which way it would be headed. Then they would issue a warning to seek shelter. Well that is normally the way that things goes.

However, on this day there wasn't anything normal. The clouds kept getting darker and darker, and the wind would calm down and then suddenly it would pick up again. There was severe thunder and lightening, but the rain was yet to come. The warnings had been issued and there was the scurrying around to find the flashlight and the battery operated radio so that we could be informed just where the storm was at. Crash, boom, bang, the windows started rattling and the house started to shake. Oh no I screamed, help me please...please help me I cried out as my body was moving from side to side.

Suddenly I was sitting up and a cold sweat was all over me and I realized that it had only been a dream. And as I tried to calm myself down again I realized that for many people these storms are real. That they have gone through some pretty bad things. The clouds that are in this picture was taken by me one afternoon, but the storm that went with these clouds never did bring rain to our area, it bypassed us again.
