When I leave this world behind;
I will go to be with God in Heaven so fine.
What have I done to deserve so much love,
From God the Father in heaven above?
I will be blessed with a splendid crown,
for the meager things I did while earth bound.
It is hard to understand such great love
from God the Father in heaven above.
From the Bible I have learned a story
about Jesus Christ in all his Glory.
Arrested, a crown of thorns placed on His head;
Then lead to the cross to be crucified until dead.
He did all this because of His love for me,
so I could tell other how in heaven they could be.
I know now why I am going to be heaven bound,
because the special day, He wore my CROWN.
