KRIEGE KELLY
Kelly get your Barraks bag
The shipping list is here
We're sailing on the first tide
For home and yester year
But kelly stirred no muscle
To join the homing crowd
He was parked before a tiny store
Beside a red cross box.
Kelly we're a sailing
The bitter war is done
Its off to the states boys
To sweethearts and to fun
But Kelly turned a deaf ear
His stubborness undeft
I shouldn't sail for anywhere
with all these groceries left.
Its a sad tale they say these days
along the Bouncy Streets of Kriegsgefagen kelly
and some loved adventure
and some loved curley locks
But Kriegsfefangen Kelly loved his faithful
Red Cross box.
Janet L. submitted this from the papers her Father Joe Davis carried with him. Joe Davis was a Prisioner of War in Germany during WWII and is one of Our Hero's.
