MY DAD

The day my Dad went,
I didn't know what it meant.
At first I didn't care,
But I know I find the world to be so unfair.

My Dad was a loving man;
Whenever someone needed it
He lended a helping hand

Lord I wish he was here
Cause then there would be
Nothing in this world
I would fear.

Ever since my dad was killed
It feels as though I haven't healed.
It's just so strange and sad
That I cannot hear him call my name.

Lord I wish he was here
Cause then there would be
Nothing in this world
I would fear.

Lord I wish he was here
Cause then there would be
Nothing in this world
I would fear.

This is a poem that was written by a young friend of mine. She wrote it about her Dad who was killed as a result of a head on collision while he was driving home
one day. Kim contacted me one day on ICQ and asked me if I would like to read a poem she wrote for her Dad and I said sure. I asked her to send me the poem and
I would put it on a page here on my web site. Although I have not lost either one of my parents, I do know what pain it is to lose a loved one. And Kim I want you to know that my heart goes out to you and I pray that God will comfort you and you will find strength in your friends that surround you. And although we can not take the place of your Dad; I pray that you will find that we your friends will help you in everyway that we can. May God Bless you.
