THE PREACHER AND THE BEAR
It seems a pastor from Maine skipped services on Sunday to go bear hunting in the mountains. As he turned the corner along the path, he and a bear collided.
The pastor stumbled backwards, slipped off the trail, and began tumbling down the mountain with the bear in hot pursuit. Finally the pastor crashed into a boulder, sending his rifle in one direction and breaking both legs.
As the bear closed in, the pastor cried out in desperation. "Lord, I'm sorry for what I have done. Please forgive me and save me! Lord, please make that bear a Christian."
Suddenly the bear skidded to a halt at the pastor's feet, fell to it knees, clasped its paws together and said.
"God, bless this food which I am about to receive."

From the Heart of Angel
This cute story reminded me of the song "The Preacher and The Bear" as was recorded by Phil Harris and many other artists. I met BJ when I was playing spades in "The Zone" here on the Internet many years ago. I have since lost touch with BJ, but I am still thankful to him for sending this story to me as I update this page. I hope that you enjoy this page and that it brings laughter into your heart and life. Thank you for visiting and I hope that you will check out the other pages that I have here on my web site and drop me a line either in my guest book or through the feedback button below and let me know that you have been here.
