VETERAN'S PAGE

The sounds of rifles being fired in a twenty-one gun salute

And then the sound of two lonely buglers bring forth their salute

In what is known to many of us as taps

As fellow soldiers and men all around take off their caps.

This is the scene that many have seen,

Some may ask what does it mean?

This my, friend is laying to rest

Another one of America's Best.

This soldier served his country well

And about his bravery his soldier friends do tell

How he took a bullet that was meant for another

And in doing so he saved the life of a child and his mother.

So cry your tears as you hear the taps

And hold that child that is in your laps

For one day that child will grow up too

And will serve his country too.

From the Heart of Angel45_2B

This section of web pages is being set up to honor all of our Veteran's that have served their country. Many have died in the wars that this country has been involved in and many are still on the MIA's list. But let us never forget that in every war we have our POW's. These men have undergone treatment that many of us would have given up under. And just because they are released from their captures doesn't mean that it is over with. Memories of war will remain in the minds of the soldier the rest of their lives. But I want to take the time to say THANK YOU each and every one of you that has served in the military. THANK YOU for making it possible for me to continue to live in freedom.

  2. Which branch of the service the soldier was in
  3. If the soldier was a POW or MIA or whether the soldier died in action
  4. And in what years the soldier served

Now I know that many will want to add personal things to this but I have to state that I will be making up buttons for each of the names that are given and so the space will be limited.
